Islamabad United Set 158-Run Target for Quetta Gladiators in PSL Match 23

Mohammad Nawaz Shines with 49 as Islamabad Posts 157

Lahore: In the 23rd match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Islamabad United set a target of 158 runs for Quetta Gladiators after being put in to bat first at Gaddafi Stadium.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bowl. Islamabad United posted 157 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

From Islamabad, Sahibzada Farhan scored 39 runs, Kyle Mayers 22, Colin Munro 9, while Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Shahzad went out without scoring. Andres Gous made 8, Haider Ali 10, Mohammad Nawaz contributed a crucial 49, and Naseem Shah added 1 run. Jason Holder remained not out with 14 runs.

For Quetta, Faheem Ashraf was the standout bowler, claiming 4 wickets. Abrar Ahmed, Khurram Shehzad, Kyle Jamieson, and Saud Shakeel took one wicket each. One Islamabad player was run out.
