Is There a Ban on Suzuki Alto From Entering Motorways & Highways?

ISLAMABAD: Recent social media buzz suggested that the Suzuki Alto has been banned from motorways and highways in Pakistan following a tragic accident. The speculation spread after a 12-wheeler truck crushed an Alto, leaving the car in pieces.

The incident reignited concerns about the vehicle’s safety, with many questioning whether small cars like the Alto should be allowed on high-speed roads.

However, the National Highway Authority (NHA) and National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) have denied imposing any such ban. An NHMP spokesperson clarified, “There is no such restriction on the Suzuki Alto or any other small car.”

The rumors, it seems, stemmed purely from public debate rather than any official decision.
