ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested four individuals, including a former Punjab police officer, in connection with human smuggling and fraud activities. The arrests were made during an operation in Jalalpur Jattan led by the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Cell.
One of the key arrests was Hassan Butt, a former Punjab police officer, who allegedly facilitated the illegal transportation of citizens to Turkey and Europe. Butt was accused of being part of a larger network involved in human smuggling.
In addition to Butt, the FIA apprehended a smuggler named Madah, who was reportedly charging Rs3 million to send individuals unlawfully to Malaysia.

Furthermore, two other suspects, Sikandar and Mahboob, were detained for committing fraud by impersonating representatives of a Saudi company and swindling people out of Rs66 million under the guise of issuing company visas.
The FIA has vowed to continue its efforts to crack down on human trafficking and fraudulent activities.
