Aleema Khan Says Jail Doors Will Open When Imran Khan’s Ready to Leave
Imran Khan has appointed Salman Akram Raja as his lawyer, she said.
ISLAMABAD: Aleema Khan, the sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, stated that when her brother is ready to leave jail, “InshaAllah, the jail doors will open at Fajr time.” Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, she remarked that whenever the authorities want to allow someone to leave, the gates of the jail open at 7 am, and even meetings are arranged at night.
Aleema Khan addressed recent statements by government officials, who suggested that Imran Khan’s tweet might halt ongoing negotiations. She clarified that the jail authorities had already denied permission for a meeting with the negotiation committee earlier that morning.
She also discussed the upcoming hearing of the Al-Qadir case, stating that once it reaches the High Court, the world will realize what a “big joke” it is. She mentioned that Bushra Bibi had informed the court in the previous hearing that she would not attend the next session.
