QUETTA: The Election Commission of Pakistan has reinstated Adil Bazaai’s membership for NA-262 Quetta.
According to the notification issued by the Election Commission, Adil Bazaai will be considered an independent candidate, rather than a member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Bazaai had faced allegations of deviating from party policy on the budget and the 26th constitutional amendment, leading to a reference being filed against him by PML-N.

Following the reference, Adil Bazaai was declared ineligible by the Election Commission under the petition filed by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif. However, the Supreme Court later suspended the Election Commission’s decision and ruled in favor of Bazaai’s restoration as a member of the National Assembly.
