Mohsin Naqvi Meets Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz in Riyadh

Both sides agreed to continue deepening cooperation in various areas of security

ISLAMABAD:  Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a key meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Interior Minister HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Riyadh on Tuesday. The discussion centered on strengthening security cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with a particular focus on combating drug trafficking and addressing other mutual concerns.

During the meeting, both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fight against drugs. HRH Prince Abdulaziz welcomed Minister Naqvi and his delegation, acknowledging the longstanding ties between the two countries.

Minister Naqvi expressed deep respect for Saudi Arabia, noting that every Pakistani shares a bond of religious devotion with the Kingdom. He also conveyed Pakistan’s heartfelt gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s consistent support during difficult times. Naqvi extended his well-wishes to Saudi Arabia’s leadership and people, emphasizing the strong relationship between the nations.

The meeting was attended by senior Saudi officials, including Deputy Interior Minister Nasser Al-Dawood, Under-Secretary Dr. Khalid Al-Batal, Director of Public Security Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Bassamy, and Director General of Drug Control Major General Muhammad Al-Qarni.

The Pakistani delegation also included Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, Director General of Passport and Immigration Mustafa Jamal Qazi, and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Riffat Mukhtar Raja.

Both sides agreed to continue deepening cooperation in various areas of security, reinforcing the strong bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
