UK Blind Baseball Association Lauds Pakistan Team’s Spirit,

Pakistan’s National Blind Baseball Team secured the bronze medal at the 2024 International World Cup in England, finishing third among eight top teams worldwide. Pakistan defeated strong teams in the group stage, including the United States (8-3), Great Britain (3-0), and Hungary (7-0), topping their pool.

In the semi-finals, Pakistan faced defending champions Italy, losing by just two points in a thrilling tie-break. Pakistan then beat Great Britain 6-0 to claim third place.

Team captain Ghulam Sarwar was named the world’s best batsman, showcasing exceptional skills and hitting a home run, considered extremely difficult in blind baseball.

Coach Makhdoom Amjad Shah credited the team’s success to dedication and hard work despite financial challenges. The UK Blind Baseball Association provided valuable support, with Chairman Amjad Khan and Development Officer Shiraz Chauhan offering round-the-clock services.
