On Monday, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Swat filed a First Information Report (FIR) regarding a blast that took place on Malam Jabba Road. The FIR has been registered at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Police Station in Swat and includes charges related to terrorism, murder, and premeditated murder.
The tragic explosion, which occurred on Sunday, resulted in the martyrdom of a police officer. In response to this act of violence, both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued strong condemnations of the attack on the police mobile unit near Malam Jabba in the Swat district.
In his statement, President Zardari honored the sacrifices of the fallen police officer and expressed his condolences to the grieving family. He emphasized the government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan entirely.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his sorrow over the incident, praying for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks. He instructed relevant authorities to ensure that all necessary medical support is provided to those injured in the blast. This incident has sparked renewed calls for vigilance and decisive action against terrorism to protect both law enforcement and civilians in the region.
