CM Punjab Initiates Punjab Enforcement Authority to Combat Adulteration, Hoarding, and Profiteering

LAHORE: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has decided to form the Punjab Enforcement Authority, aimed at curbing adulteration, hoarding, and illegal profiteering in Punjab. Sources within the Punjab government highlight that this initiative seeks to safeguard citizens from malpractices affecting essential commodities.

The newly established authority will oversee inspections to ensure the quality of food items and regulate supply chains. It will conduct province-wide raids to crack down on adulteration, with the authority empowered to levy fines.
