Lahore: Gas theft crackdown. During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 90 connections; Rs 1.28 million fine imposed

In Lahore, the team disconnected 12 connections on illegal use of gas. The team also lodged 1 FIR against gas pilfer. In Multan the team disconnected 15 connections on illegal use of gas. In Peshawar the company disconnected 41 connections on account of direct use and illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 0.07 million have been booked against gas theft cases. The regional team of Shiekhupura disconnected 04 connections on illegal use of gas and also booked an amount of Rs 0.19 million against gas theft cases.

In Faisalabad the team disconnected 02 connections on illegal use of gas and also imposed a fine of Rs 0.05 million against gas theft cases. In Mardan the team disconnected 11 connections on illegal use of gas and also booked an amount of Rs 0.75 million against gas theft cases.

In Bahawalpur the team disconnected 01 connection on illegal use of gas while another 02 on use of the compressor. The regional team of Sahiwal disconnected 02 connections on illegal use of gas. In Gujranwala the team booked an amount of Rs 0.22 million against gas theft cases.
