Azlan Shah Hockey Cup: Pakistan power to victory against South Korea

Pakistan will lock horns against Japan on May 7 (Tuesday).

Islamabad: The Pakistan hockey team won the match against South Korea by 5-4 in the Azlan Shah Cup on Sunday.

The Green Shirts had outplayed Korea by 4-0. Hannan Shahid, Arshad Liaqat, Ghazanfar Ali, and Sufyan Khan scored four goals each for Pakistan to sweep past Korea.

This was Pakistan’s second victory in the tournament. Earlier, the visitors had won against Malaysia by 5-4.

Pakistan will lock horns against Japan on May 7 (Tuesday).

Haris Rauf says he gets opportunity to learn from Mohammad Amir

Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf said on Sunday that he gets the opportunity to learn from fellow fast bowler Mohammad Amir.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, Rauf said: “It is not easy to stage a comeback from injury. I am looking to find my rhythm back.”

He recalled the T20 World Cup 2022, saying, “We reached the final of the last T20 World Cup with good performances. We will try to not repeat the past mistakes.”

“We will try to bring happiness to the masses. I pray that everybody will perform well in the team to emerge victorious,” Rauf said.
