Stock market opens with minor fluctuations
Yesterday (Thursday), the index opened with a quick 172 points hike, trading on 70,506 points soon after opening.
KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened at yesterday’s closing of 70,290.11 points, which was nominally lower than yesterday’s opening of 70,333.31 points.
The index showed over 200 points growth earlier in trading, but then gradually slipped down by a 100 points within half an hour of trading.

Yesterday (Thursday), the index opened with a quick 172 points hike, trading on 70,506 points soon after opening. However, towards the middle of the trading day, the pace of growth stabilised and turned marginally negative by the day end.
Today, the market opened on a cautious note, and soon began to move lower than the opening level. While this comes as a contrast to the past several trading sessions, the negative moment indicating market correction is not unexpected.
Furthermore, international tensions flaring up with reports of Israel’s attack on Iran has also spooked the investment climate, across the globe.
