Pakistan Forces Conduct Major Counter Terror Operation In Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – Security forces of Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps Balochistan launched an area sanitization operation in the Nosham area of Barkhan District on 13 May 2026 to target militants linked to what officials described as “Fitna Al Hindustan.”

During the operation, troops engaged a group of suspected terrorists in an intense exchange of fire. According to official sources, seven militants were killed, while weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from their possession.

However, the operation also resulted in the martyrdom of five personnel of the armed forces after heavy resistance from the militants. The martyred personnel include Major Tauseef Ahmed Bhatti (31, Pakpattan), Naik Fida Hussain (36, Sukkur), Sepoy Zakir Hussain (32, Skardu), Sepoy Suhail Ahmed (21, Khanewal), and Sepoy Muhammad Ayaz (24, Rahim Yar Khan).

Officials said sanitization operations are continuing in the surrounding areas to clear any remaining militant presence and ensure complete security in the region.

Security sources reaffirmed that counter-terrorism efforts under the national framework “Azm-e-Istehkam” will continue across the country with full intensity to eliminate foreign-supported militancy and strengthen long-term peace.
