51 Vendors Detained During Sunday Bazaar Inspections in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – The federal capital’s Sunday bazaars saw heavy footfall this weekend, while the district administration conducted strict inspections to ensure the availability of affordable and quality goods for citizens.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General and all Assistant Commissioners visited various Sunday markets across the city. During the inspections, 51 vendors were detained for violating government price regulations or failing to display the official rate list.
ADCG Sahibzada Yusuf inspected the H-9 Sunday Bazaar, reviewing parking arrangements, price control measures, and cleanliness. He also spoke with citizens to gather feedback.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Memon reiterated the administration’s zero-tolerance policy on violations of official price lists. He said that all actions were carried out immediately and without discrimination to ensure consumer protection.
