23 Young Doctors Suspended in Quetta Over Strike
Balochistan Doctors Suspended 2026: Government Cracks Down on Health Sector Discipline
Balochistan – (Web Desk) – The Balochistan government has suspended 23 doctors in 2026 over serious violations of service rules, strike activities, and breaches of departmental discipline in the public health sector.
Chief Minister’s Adviser Shahid Rind confirmed the action. He said the government also issued show-cause notices to 25 health officers for similar violations.
Rind made clear that strikes in the health sector are illegal under court directives. He stressed that disrupting medical services cannot be allowed under any circumstances.
The government also suspended the registrations of five trainee doctors enrolled in postgraduate training programmes. Formal inquiries have been launched to determine responsibilities in each case.
All public hospitals across Balochistan will remain open and fully operational. The government warned that any employee absent from essential services will face strict disciplinary action.
A high-level committee has been formed to review security arrangements at health institutions. It includes senior government officials, doctors, health department representatives, and security authorities.
Shahid Rind reaffirmed that uninterrupted healthcare delivery remains the government’s top priority. He said the administration is committed to accountability, reforms, and better public health services across the province.
