107 Pakistanis Deported from 12 Countries, Many Arrested Upon Arrival in Karachi

The deportees arrived in Karachi on multiple flights, with many facing immediate arrest upon arrival.

KARACHI — A total of 107 Pakistanis have been deported from 12 countries, including the United States, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, for various offenses such as drug trafficking and counterfeit currency activities, according to immigration authorities.

The deportees arrived in Karachi on multiple flights, with many facing immediate arrest upon arrival. Among the deported individuals, 40 Pakistanis were sent back from the UAE, with 11 of them arrested for drug smuggling and two for circulating counterfeit currency. These individuals had served jail terms in the UAE before their deportation.

Other countries involved in the deportations include Oman, which sent back 13 individuals, Saudi Arabia with another 13, and Iraq with 12. Additionally, two Pakistanis were deported each from Qatar and Cyprus, while a single Pakistani was returned from countries like Senegal, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Bahrain.

Immigration officials confirmed that the arrested individuals will face legal action in Pakistan for their alleged involvement in criminal activities abroad. The deportations highlight ongoing concerns about illegal activities and criminal networks operating internationally.
