Colombo: In the ninth match of the ICC T20 World Cup, Zimbabwe defeated Oman by 8 wickets.
The match, played in Colombo, saw Oman bat first against Zimbabwe, posting 103 runs, being all out on the fifth ball of the final over. For Oman, Venaik Shukla scored 28 runs and Sufyan Mahmood contributed 25 runs.
Zimbabwe’s bowling attack was led by Mozarabani, Richard Ngarava, and Brad Evans, each taking three wickets.

Chasing the target, Zimbabwe reached 104 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in the 14th over. Brendan Taylor scored 31 runs and Brian Bennett added 48 runs to secure the win.
Earlier, in the opening match, Scotland defeated Italy by 73 runs. Scotland posted 207 runs for 4 wickets in their innings, and in reply, Italy was bowled out for 134 runs in the 17th over.
