YouTuber Rajab Butt Receives Notice in Online Gambling Ads Case, Vows Legal Response

The NCCIA has not yet issued a public statement regarding the notice or the broader scope of its investigation.

Islamabad –: Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt has confirmed receiving a notice from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in connection with an ongoing probe into online gambling advertisements. Butt stated he would respond strictly through legal channels.

In a video message shared on social media, Butt acknowledged the development and said he had anticipated such action.

“I had an idea that the notice would come—it came a little late… We absolutely respect the law, and we will respond in a legal manner. My lawyers will handle it,” he said.

The notice is reportedly linked to Butt’s alleged involvement in promoting online gambling platforms through his digital content—a practice that has recently come under heightened scrutiny by authorities.

Future Steps Dependent on Legal Advice

Addressing speculation about whether he would return to Pakistan to face the investigation, Butt made it clear that his actions will be based entirely on legal counsel.

“If my lawyer says that I should come to Pakistan, then I will come. If he says no, then I won’t. For now, we will send a legal response to the notice. That is the news for now,” he added.
