YouTube to Auto-Create Free Video Music
YouTube has also been experimenting with AI in other music-related features.
YouTube has launched a handy new AI tool for creators, allowing them to generate instrumental tracks for their videos without worrying about copyright claims. According to TechCrunch, this new feature was demonstrated on the company’s Creator Insider channel.
AI-Powered Music Assistant
In a recent video, Lauren from the Creator Insider channel showcased a new tab in the Creator Music beta section titled “Music Assistant.” This tool enables creators to generate music by simply entering prompts like “Give me uplifting and motivational music for a workout montage.”
Creators enter a prompt, and the tool generates several tracks for them to review, download, and seamlessly add to their video projects. The Music Assistant feature is gradually rolling out to users with access to Creator Music.
A Growing Trend in AI
Music Assistant joins a growing list of AI-powered tools designed to assist creators in generating background music. Companies such as Stability AI have developed diffusion models to create audio tracks, while Meta’s AudioCraft and MusicGen models can also synthesize sound based on user prompts. These AI tools offer an efficient and cost-effective way for creators to add customized music to their content without fearing copyright strikes.

YouTube’s Experimentation with AI Tools
YouTube has also been experimenting with AI in other music-related features. The platform introduced a music remixer that allows creators to restyle popular songs and incorporate them into their Shorts. Additionally, YouTube’s Dream Track feature, powered by Lyria from Google’s DeepMind, enables users to hum melodies and transform them into full music tracks, even mimicking the style of artists like T-Pain.
This latest tool is part of YouTube’s ongoing effort to provide creators with more creative freedom and reduce the risk of copyright issues.
