Yousuf & Gul Join Peshawar Zalmi as Consultants for PSL 9

The appointment cricketers as consultants reflects Peshawar Zalmi’s commitment to enhancing their performance in the PSL-9.
Islamabad (Mudassar Iqbal Ch): Former Pakistani Test cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has been appointed as the batting consultant, while Umar Gul has been appointed as the bowling consultant for the Peshawar Zalmi team for Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.
According to details, the chairman of Peshawar Zalmi has welcomed Mohammad Yousuf and Umar Gul to the Zalmi family. He stated that their presence will greatly benefit the team, especially in strengthening the bowling department with Umar Gul’s coaching experience.
He further mentioned that the young, aspiring batsmen in the Zalmi squad, including Saifullah Ayub, Mohammad Haris, Hasibullah, and others, will have the opportunity to learn a lot from Mohammad Yousuf.

PSL-9: Two matches are set to be played today
On the second day of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 Season 9, two matches are set to be played today. In the first match, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will face off at Gaddafi Stadium in the afternoon, while Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings will clash in the second match in Multan.
Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Dr. Osman Anwar, has directed to ensure comprehensive security for players, officials, and cricket enthusiasts. He instructed Lahore CCPO, Multan RPO, and all relevant authorities to assess all arrangements, including security and traffic, themselves. He emphasized that Punjab Police has adopted better security measures for PSL matches, and district administration, security agencies, and all relevant departments are coordinating for the peaceful conduct of PSL matches.

IG Punjab further directed continuous monitoring of crucial locations, including team routes, stadiums, and venues, through CCTV cameras. He stressed the need for a high alert presence of police personnel at duty points, vigilant monitoring of suspicious activities, and issuance of traffic advisories for smooth traffic flow.
