WPJP Hosts Seminar and Oath-Taking Ceremony for Peace and Economic Growth

WPJP Seminar Focuses on Peace, Agriculture, and Economic Growth

Karachi – The World Peace Jirga Program (WPJP), led by Chairman Rayatullah Khan (Khan Baba) and Country Head Sadia Khan (Khan Bibi), organized a groundbreaking seminar on business promotion and peace, followed by an oath-taking ceremony for its federal and provincial Sindh members. This key event, held in collaboration with The Women’s Care Foundation of Pakistan International Welfare Trust (TWCFT), took place on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Arts Council Karachi.

The seminar focused on fostering peace, economic growth, and community development through the expansion of the Jirga system. WPJP, renowned for its successful efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Punjab, is now advancing its mission to Sindh, with the goal of resolving conflicts, strengthening community welfare, and boosting socio-economic development in the region.

The NGO Alliance, spearheaded by President Dr. Nighat Yasmeen Khan, is actively partnering with WPJP to ensure effective collaboration in achieving these goals. The event also served as an opportunity to formalize this alliance, marking a collective effort toward sustainable peace and progress across Pakistan.

The contributions of Nobel Prize Winner Malala Yousafzai and Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Hina Khan were acknowledged during the seminar. Both women have been instrumental in supporting the mission of WPJP and have contributed significantly to the promotion of peace and economic stability in Pakistan. Their efforts, inspired by the leadership of Rayatullah Khan (Khan Baba), were highlighted as exemplary in advancing the cause of peace.

WPJP has made notable strides in promoting community-driven peace initiatives, with a particular focus on agriculture and economic progress. The seminar provided a platform for meaningful discussions on innovative strategies to support peace, agricultural growth, and economic stability across the country.

As part of its international expansion, WPJP has launched operations in the USA, UK, and Canada to promote business opportunities and foster international collaboration. Additionally, WPJP is actively establishing its presence in Karachi as the first step in implementing the Jirga system across Sindh. The program is supported by the Chief Secretary of Sindh and has been engaging with divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners of Karachi division through a series of meetings that began on December 16, 2024.

Key figures who took the oath during the ceremony included Irfan Memon, Shiraz Ahmad Khan, Sardar Muhammad Akhlaq, and Sabeeta Mushtaq. These new members are now part of the growing network of individuals committed to the success of the Jirga system and the promotion of peace and prosperity in Pakistan.

Looking ahead, WPJP is planning a follow-up seminar in Karachi on February 28, 2025, and has international seminars scheduled in Dubai and Riyadh on March 15, 2025, focusing on peace and issues affecting overseas Pakistanis. WPJP is also set to meet with General (R) Raheel Sharif to further strengthen its vision.
