Wisconsin 4-Year-Old Calls 911 Over Mother Eating His Ice Cream

The boy stood firm in his belief that his mother should face consequences for her actions.

WASHINGTON: A Wisconsin 4-year-old boy’s sense of justice was put to the test last Tuesday when he dialed 911 to report his mother for eating his ice cream, prompting a response from local police in Mount Pleasant.

According to police officials, officers arrived at the home after responding to a 911 hangup call. Upon arrival, they found the young boy who had contacted emergency services with a serious complaint: his mother had eaten his ice cream.

“My mommy is being bad,” the boy told the 911 dispatcher, according to recordings obtained by CNN affiliate WTMJ. When asked for further details, the boy demanded, “Come and get my mommy.”

The mother quickly took the phone and explained to the dispatcher that the incident was a misunderstanding, revealing that she had eaten her son’s ice cream, which likely prompted his emergency call.

Following standard protocol, officers visited the home to ensure there were no underlying issues, confirming the boy’s account of the events. His mother had indeed consumed his ice cream without permission. The boy stood firm in his belief that his mother should face consequences for her actions.

After some discussion, the boy decided against pressing charges, stating that he didn’t want his mother arrested and simply wanted his ice cream replaced.

Two days later, Mount Pleasant police officers returned to the home with a special delivery for the young boy: two scoops of ice cream topped with blue sprinkles.

The incident, while humorous, highlights the lighthearted side of some 911 calls involving children, as well as the compassionate approach many police departments take in handling such unusual situations in their communities.
