Contest elections even if we have to fight under-19 team,Barrister Gohar

ISLAMABAD: Despite facing setbacks and the rejection of nomination papers, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, asserted that the party would actively participate in the upcoming elections, even if it meant fielding an U-19 team.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the instructions issued by returning officers, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan maintained optimism, declaring that PTI would emerge victorious despite the hurdles. He emphasized that the Supreme Court had given assurances regarding the timely conduct of elections and warned against attempts to manipulate the democratic process.

Highlighting the potential repercussions on democracy and parliamentary strength, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan underscored the importance of allowing every party to contest elections. He firmly stated that PTI would not boycott the elections, emphasizing that the public should have the ultimate say in deciding the nation’s leadership.

Describing PTI as the most popular party in Pakistan, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan appealed to the judiciary to ensure a level playing field in the electoral process. He criticized Maulana Fazl’s party, suggesting that it lacked nationwide support and was the only one advocating for a delay in polling. He urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to fulfill its responsibility of conducting elections in a peaceful and secure environment.
