Wheat Price Increases by Rs. 300, Flour Rates Expected to Rise

Asim Raza, expressed concern over the rising cost, stating that the government has failed to control wheat prices.

Lahore – The price of wheat has surged by Rs. 300 per 40kg, pushing the rate from Rs. 2,800 to Rs. 3,100, according to market sources cited by a private news channel.

Chairman of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association, Asim Raza, expressed concern over the rising cost, stating that the government has failed to control wheat prices.

He further blamed the Punjab government for the situation, saying it had deregulated wheat pricing, which has led to market instability.

Raza warned that if the current trend continues, the price of flour is also likely to increase in the coming days, further burdening consumers already struggling with inflation.
