Wheat crisis appears in Punjab

The wheat crisis has been increasing as recent floods inflicted big damage to the crops and the godowns of wheat. Punjab Food Department said: Three and a half lakh tonnes of wheat was wasted in Rajanpur and Fazilpur godowns.
A request has been made to the federal government to seek permission for importing one million tonnes of wheat.
