ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk)- West Indies defeated Nepal by nine wickets in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, extending their unbeaten run in the group and sealing qualification for the next stage.

Chasing a modest target of 134 runs, West Indies comfortably reached the total in 15.2 overs. Openers Brandon King and Shai Hope provided a solid start. King was dismissed for 22, caught by Yadav, while Hope anchored the chase with an unbeaten 61. Shimron Hetmyer supported him with a fluent 46 not out.

Earlier, Nepal posted 133 for eight in their allotted 20 overs after West Indies won the toss and opted to field at the Wankhede Stadium. Dipendra Singh Airee was the top scorer for Nepal with a fighting 58 runs. Sompal Kami remained unbeaten on 26, while Lokesh Bam (13), Asif Sheikh (11), and Gulshan Jha (11) made modest contributions.
