After winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first but struggled to build momentum. Openers Saim Ayub (7) and Sahibzada Farhan (3) fell cheaply to Jason Holder. Mohammad Haris (4) and Fakhar Zaman (20) also failed to make a significant impact.

The standout performer for Pakistan was young batter Hasan Nawaz, who played a spirited innings of 40 runs before being caught off Holder’s bowling.
