MUMBAI: (Web Desk) – In the 15th match of Group C of the ICC T20 World Cup, West Indies defeated England by 30 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Batting first, West Indies posted a strong total of 196 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Sharfane Rutherford starred with a brilliant 76 off 42 balls, while Jason Holder provided late impetus by scoring 33 runs off just 17 deliveries. Roston Chase also played a vital role at the top of the order, scoring 34 runs off 29 balls to give his team a solid start.
For England, Moti, Chase and Hosein picked up important wickets, but the target proved too challenging. Chasing 197, England were bowled out for 166 in 19 overs.
