Weather forecast: Dry & hot spell to prevail in most parts of the country

Rain with thunderstorms is expected in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Chitral, and Balakot.

ISLAMABAD: Dry and hot weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country while there is a chance of isolated thunderstorms in some parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Meteorological Department

According to the Met Office, majority of the country’s plains will experience extremely hot weather. The weather is expected to remain hot and dry in Islamabad and its surrounding areas as well.

Heat intensity is expected to increase in Karachi and most of the upper districts of Sindh while the coastal areas of Sindh will remain hot and humid, says the Meteorological Department.

Dust storms are likely in the central and southern districts of Sindh. Thunderstorms with rain are expected at some places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. There is a chance of strong winds and thunderstorms in some parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Islamabad and Peshawar twenty-four degrees centigrade, Lahore thirty-one, Karachi thirty, Quetta twenty, Gilgit sixteen, Murree twenty and Muzaffarabad twenty-two degrees centigrade.
