We Know Exactly How to Defend Our Sovereignty: Army Chief

Pakistan's Military Responds Firmly to Indian Aggression: Operation "Bunyan al-Marsous" Echoes Globally

Islamabad Pakistan’s powerful military establishment has reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering commitment to defending its sovereignty, as Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir declared that “we know well how to defend our national integrity.” His strong statement followed Pakistan’s forceful military response to Indian aggression, launched under the codename Operation Bunyan al-Marsous — meaning “Wall of Steel.”

The operation, widely viewed as a strategic and symbolic counter to recent hostilities from India, garnered international attention and reinforced Pakistan’s stance on deterrence and national defense. “The response Pakistan gave to India was not only heard across the border, but around the world,” military analysts noted.

General Munir, referencing verses from the Holy Quran, reminded the nation that divine help has often enabled smaller forces to overcome much larger ones. “History bears witness that the armed forces of Pakistan, backed by their people, have stood like an iron wall against every act of aggression,” he said.

He further asserted that Pakistan possesses robust defensive capabilities to safeguard its territorial sovereignty. “India’s 1.3 million-strong military, despite its arsenal, cannot intimidate us,” he declared confidently, adding that Pakistan’s desire for peace should never be mistaken for weakness.

Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Arshad Sharif, also issued a stern warning prior to the operation: “We are not a nation to be intimidated by India’s power, deception, or aggression. Wait for our response.”

That response came swiftly and decisively through Operation Bunyan al-Marsous, fulfilling the promise made to the nation. Military officials highlighted that the Pakistan Armed Forces not only met expectations but surpassed them, exhibiting unmatched courage, coordination, and strategic precision.

Defense analysts echoed the sentiment, stating, “The world saw how Pakistan’s military compelled India to back down through a powerful and calculated retaliation. This operation has proven that no force on earth can harm Pakistan without facing severe consequences.”

The statement and actions from Pakistan’s top brass come as a powerful reminder of the country’s red lines — and its readiness to defend them.
