Peshawar: (Web Desk) – Peshawar witnessed a high-value auction of personalized number plates, organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government at Nishtar Hall. The auction, conducted by the Excise and Taxation Department, offered choice number plates to the public, resulting in sales worth several crores of rupees.
The highest bid was placed on the “Wazir 1” number plate, which was sold for PKR 15 million. The second-highest bid went to “Afridi 1”, purchased by Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi for PKR 14.05 million.

The third-highest bid was for “Khan 1”, resembling the name of PTI founder, bought by Naeem Muhammad Khan, a provincial assembly member from Waziristan, for PKR 11.1 million.
According to the Excise Department, the “804” number plate was withdrawn from the auction, while plates associated with prominent names such as Zardari, Sharif, and national cricketers will be offered in the next phase of bidding.
The auction reflects growing public interest in exclusive and personalized number plates, with competitive bids reaching record amounts in Peshawar.
