Wanted member of bike lifter gang arrested; two stolen motorbikes recovered

Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Asif and recovered 1015 gram hashish from his possession.

Islamabad Capital Police Phulgran police team have arrested a wanted member of a notorious bike lifter gang involved in numerous bike theft activities and recovered two stolen motorbikes from his possession, a public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police had categorically started a crackdown against criminal elements in order to save the precious lives and property of citizens.

Following these directions, the Phulgran police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending a wanted member of a notorious bike lifter gang involved in numerous bike lifting activities in various areas of Phulgran police station.

The accused was identified as Saad Abbasi. Police team also recovered two stolen motorbikes from his possession. Cases have already been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.

Islamabad Capital City Police officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and said that safety of the lives and property of the citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.

12 outlaws arrested; drugs and weapons recovered

Islamabad Police apprehended 12 outlaws including four professional baggers from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered drugs and weapons from their possession, a public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

Following these directions, the Bani Gala police team arrested an accused namely Abdul Basit, Muhammad Hamad and Fahad and recovered three 30 bore pistols with ammunition from their possession. The Secretariat police team arrested an accused namely Shahzaib involved in illegally selling petrol.

Likewise, the Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Asif and recovered 1015 gram hashish from his possession. The Bhara Kahu police team arrested an accused namely Haris and recovered one iron punch from his possession.

Similarly, the Abpara police team arrested an accused namely Shanial and recovered 320 gram heroin from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.

During a special crackdown against professional beggars police teams busted four professional baggers from different areas of the city.

ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan directed the police officials to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.

Islamabad Capital Police training program for firearms licensing and renewal continues

Following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has initiated a comprehensive training program for the issuance and renewal of firearms licenses, a public relations officer said.

He said that, the program entails the issuance of firearms handling training documents to 77 individuals after completing the course.

Trained personnel of Islamabad Capital Police are giving arms training to the applicant, under the supervision of CPO Law and Order and Training at Police Lines Headquarters.

Trained individuals are also provided with membership to the Police Shooting Club for continuous practice and skill development. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad will collaborate in sharing data related to firearms licenses for effective scrutiny.

Separate regulations have been issued for prohibited and non-prohibited bores categories. These measures aim to curtail the proliferation of firearms and ensure that licenses are only granted to qualified individuals.
