ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Veteran Pakistani actor Asim Bukhari passed away in Lahore on Wednesday at the age of 76, leaving the television, film, and theatre community deeply saddened.

According to reports, the senior actor had been struggling with kidney and heart-related illnesses and had remained hospitalized for nearly fifteen days prior to his death. Despite receiving medical care, his health continued to decline, and he passed away earlier this week.

During a long and respected career, Asim Bukhari appeared in numerous television dramas, stage plays, and films, gaining appreciation for his strong and versatile acting performances. Beyond his work on screen and stage, he was also known as a dedicated acting instructor who helped guide and train many aspiring performers in Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

News of his passing has brought grief across the showbiz community, with colleagues, fans, and fellow artists remembering his artistic contributions and paying tribute to his legacy in Pakistani entertainment.

It has also been reported that his son, Ajlal Bukhari, is currently receiving treatment for gallstones at a hospital in London.

Many members of the entertainment fraternity have expressed condolences and prayed that Allah grants the late actor the highest place in Jannah and gives patience and strength to his family during this difficult time. The schedule for his funeral prayers has not yet been announced.
