Uzma Bukhari Criticizes KP CM Gandapur, Warns Against Political Provocation in Punjab

We will not tolerate any attempts to incite unrest or damage public property in the name of politics,” Bukhari concluded.

Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari strongly criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in a press conference, accusing him of hypocrisy and political double standards. She stated that Gandapur rose to power with the help of the establishment, yet continues to publicly condemn the same forces for alleged interference in politics.

“Ali Amin Gandapur must remember that in a democratic setup, dialogue must take place with democratic forces, not the very powers he claims to oppose,” Bukhari said.

The minister emphasized that while Punjab will welcome the KP Chief Minister with due respect if he visits in an official capacity, any attempt to incite violence or act unlawfully will be met with strict action. “If he enters Punjab like a thug, Punjab Police knows how to respond,” she warned.

Uzma Bukhari also condemned Gandapur’s repeated derogatory remarks against PML-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz, calling his language “filthy and unacceptable.” She stressed that political discourse should remain civil and respectful, and no one will be allowed to disturb the peace or spread anarchy in Punjab.
