US – Correspondent / Web Desk) – U.S. Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with the Department of Defense, announced the seizure of the vessel M/V Bella 1 on Wednesday for violating U.S. sanctions.
The vessel was intercepted in the North Atlantic following a warrant issued by a U.S. federal court.
Authorities confirmed that the operation was conducted after careful tracking by the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Munro (USCGC Munro). Officials described the seizure as a significant step in enforcing U.S. sanctions and maintaining maritime security, emphasizing that such actions demonstrate the government’s commitment to holding violators accountable.
