US Opens PhD Scholarships for Pakistanis in Top 100 Universities
Eligible students can submit their applications through the HEC website until April 30, 2026.
ISLAMABAD: The United States has given Pakistani students major good news as the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has opened applications for PhD scholarships in 100 top American universities.
According to HEC, these fully funded scholarships are being offered under the US–Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project, which aims to support high-quality doctoral education for Pakistani scholars in the United States. The program has been divided into two categories.
Category 1 includes the top 50 US universities, where selected students will receive full tuition coverage along with a stipend and health insurance.

Category 2 covers universities ranked 51 to 100, where students will receive 12,000 dollars annually for tuition, in addition to a stipend and health insurance.
Eligible students can submit their applications through the HEC website until April 30, 2026.
The initiative is expected to significantly boost educational collaboration between Pakistan and the United States while providing Pakistani scholars access to world-class research facilities and academic training.
