RIYADH: (Web Desk) – The United States Mission to Saudi Arabia and the United States Mission to Iraq were closed on Tuesday due to security concerns following Iran’s counterstrikes.
In a statement posted on X, the US Embassy said all routine and emergency American Citizen Services appointments have been cancelled. A “shelter in place” advisory remains active for Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dhahran, with American citizens in the Kingdom advised to stay indoors until further notice.

The embassy also warned citizens to avoid visiting the facility after reports of an attack and said non-essential travel to military installations in the region is being restricted.
Officials confirmed that the mission continues to monitor the evolving regional situation closely. US citizens were urged to review the latest security alerts, reconsider travel plans, and make necessary arrangements to ensure their safety.
