US and Iran to Hold Nuclear Talks in Oman Today

The talks will be mediated by the Omani Foreign Minister.

TEHRAN: According to media reports, the United States and Iran are set to hold direct negotiations in Oman today, focusing on a potential new nuclear deal. The talks will be mediated by the Omani Foreign Minister.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister stated that Iran believes in dialogue based on mutual respect and sees a deal as possible if the US avoids unnecessary demands.

Meanwhile, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed the direct talks. US President’s envoy for the Middle East, Brett McGurk, has arrived in Oman for the negotiations after meeting with Russian President Putin.
