US Airstrikes in Yemen Kill 77 Civilians

US Says Houthi Missile Posed No Threat

Sana’a: Airstrikes by US aircraft on Yemen’s coastal city of Hodeidah and the capital, Sana’a, have resulted in the deaths of 77 people and left dozens injured. According to media reports, among those killed was Houthi leader Ansar Allah, Abdulmalik.

US officials reported that 11 Houthi drones were shot down, while one missile fired by the Houthis landed in the sea near Yemen.

In addition, 24 people were killed in US airstrikes in the capital, Sana’a. US authorities stated that the missile launched by the Houthis posed no significant threat to the United States.

The United Nations has called on both the US and the Houthi rebels to cease their attacks immediately and engage in negotiations to de-escalate tensions in the region.
