The talks are the latest in a series of negotiations led by Trump
KYIV (Web Desk): Ukrainian lead negotiator Rustem Umerov is set to meet US envoy Steve Witkoff in Geneva on Thursday, ahead of planned trilateral talks with Russia expected in early March, Kyiv announced.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the meeting with Witkoff and Jared Kushner is part of preparations for the trilateral negotiations. The agenda will include prisoner-of-war exchanges and a “prosperity package” aimed at Ukraine’s reconstruction.

The talks are the latest in a series of negotiations led by US President Donald Trump, which so far have struggled to achieve progress in ending Russia’s four-year invasion of Ukraine.
The conflict remains unresolved, with Moscow demanding full control of the eastern Donetsk region and threatening military action, while Kyiv insists on security guarantees before agreeing to any settlement.
