LONDON – The United Kingdom is expected to review and potentially lift the five-year ban on Pakistani airlines, sources revealed. The British Air Safety Committee is scheduled to meet tomorrow to discuss the matter.

There is growing optimism that the UK may follow Europe’s lead in easing restrictions on Pakistani airlines. The ban, initially imposed five years ago, had prohibited flights from Pakistan to both the UK and Europe.
