UK High Commissioner Meets Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai
UK envoy and opposition leader discuss relations, regional situation and economic concerns during a meeting in Islamabad.
Islamabad – (Web Desk) – Jane Marriott met Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, at his office in Islamabad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, they talked about issues important to both Pakistan and the United Kingdom. They shared views on how to improve ties between the two countries. They also discussed the current situation in the region. Another topic was the changes in global oil prices and how these shifts could affect the economy.
The two sides also exchanged views on the promotion of democratic values, mutual cooperation and the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
