UAE Diplomats Explore Karachi’s Rich Heritage

Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Bakheet Atiq Al Rumaithi Visit Iconic Sites

The UAE Ambassador, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Al Zaabi, and Consul General, Bakheet Atiq Al Rumaithi, recently visited Karachi’s historical sites and Arts Council. During their visit, they inaugurated an art exhibition at the World Culture ¹. This exhibition showcases the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan and the UAE, highlighting the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.

Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah guided the UAE dignitaries through the Sindh Archive Department, where they viewed centuries-old historical artifacts and heritage. Following this, the delegation visited the iconic Mohatta Palace, where they admired the rich culture and history of Sindh.

The UAE Ambassador and Consul General also attended the ongoing Arts Festival at the Arts Council of Karachi. Ambassador Al Zaabi expressed his delight at witnessing the work of Pakistani artists, emphasizing that art serves as a “global language” connecting cultures across borders.

He also highlighted that Pakistani artists have previously participated in the Dubai Art Festival, where their works were well-received on the international stage.

Concluding the visit, Ambassador Al Zaabi commended Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah for his efforts in promoting Sindh’s cultural heritage and acknowledged the ongoing initiatives to preserve and enhance the province’s cultural identity.
