UAE and Pakistan Activate Visa Waiver Agreement for Diplomatic & Official Passports

UAE Ambassador H.E. Hamad AlZaabi Welcomes Activation of Visa Waiver Agreement with Pakistan

Islamabad – The United Arab Emirates and Pakistan have officially activated a mutual visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic and official passports, effective July 25, 2025, across all UAE airports.

The development follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on mutual visa waivers between the two countries during a high-level meeting held on June 25, 2025, between UAE Foreign Minister His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

His Excellency Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salim AlZaabi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, expressed immense pleasure at the activation of the agreement. “This step reflects the strong and brotherly ties between the UAE and Pakistan and is a testament to our shared commitment to facilitating diplomatic engagements and fostering closer bilateral relations,” he stated.

The visa exemption applies exclusively to holders of diplomatic and official passports, enabling them to travel between the two countries without the need for prior visa arrangements.
