U.S. State Department Expresses Concern Over Malam Jabba Attack on Diplomats
The U.S. State Department has voiced concern regarding an attack on a convoy of foreign diplomats traveling along the Malam Jabba Road in Swat.
The convoy was targeted with explosives, and a police vehicle providing security was struck in the blast, injuring four police officers.
Tragically, one of the injured officers, Burhan Khan, passed away during treatment. All diplomats remained unharmed in the incident, which occurred near Jahanabad.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Malakand, Muhammad Ali Gandapur, confirmed that the convoy included diplomats from Bosnia, Russia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Portugal.

In response, the U.S. State Department voiced its concern over the attack in Malam Jabba, Pakistan, acknowledging the heavy toll terrorism has taken on the Pakistani people and expressing solidarity with the families of the victims.
The State Department also reaffirmed the United States’ support for Pakistan in its ongoing fight against terrorism.
