Pakistan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Pakistan’s military is leading large-scale rescue missions after recent floods. Sadly, two soldiers lost their lives during these brave efforts. Two other personnel were injured while saving others.
Special flood response teams are now active across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Their courageous work has already saved approximately 28,000 people from danger.
Overall, disaster authorities report that nearly 210,000 citizens have been moved to safety from flooded areas. So far, no civilian lives have been lost in these evacuations.

Officials warn that more rain is expected from August 29 to September 9. This new weather could affect areas already under water. Authorities are closely watching water levels at key points like Panjnad, Kotri, and Guddu.
Despite the rising water near their posts, all soldiers remain at their duty stations. They are keeping a careful watch on the situation.
To help those affected, the military has set up 29 medical camps. These camps have already provided care for more than 20,700 people. The army has also given out 225 tonnes of essential food supplies.
Army helicopters have flown 26 rescue missions. Engineers have fixed three major bridges and cleared 104 roads. The important Karakoram Highway is now open. All other roads are expected to be cleared within the next two days.
