Two Policemen Martyred in Suicide Attack Bhakkar

Bhakkar: (Web Desk) – At least two policemen were martyred and several others injured in a suicide attack at the central Dajal Check Post, which connects Bhakkar to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Officials confirmed that the blast claimed the lives of Shahbaz and Faheem on the spot. One policeman and four civilians, including a polio worker, sustained injuries in the attack.

The injured and the martyred were shifted to the DHQ Hospital Bhakkar, where emergency protocols were immediately activated. Chief Executive Officer for Health Dr. Mazhar Abbas Baloch supervised treatment of the injured, and one critically wounded person was later referred to Multan for advanced care.

Those injured include policemen Arshad, Ajab, and civilians Hasnain and Zubair. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack, paying tribute to the martyred policemen and expressing heartfelt condolences to their families. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and said the personnel attained the noble status of martyrdom while performing their duties.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also condemned the attack, paying respects to constables Faheem Abbas and Shahbaz Madani and expressing sympathy to the bereaved families. She directed authorities to provide the best possible medical care to the injured policemen, polio workers, and civilians, and prayed for their swift recovery.
