Two Pakistani Climbers Summit Tirich Mir, Highest Peak in Hindu Kush
Tirich Mir, standing at 7,708 meters, was first successfully climbed in 1950 by a Norwegian team.
Islamabad – Two Pakistani climbers have successfully summited Tirich Mir, the highest peak in the Hindu Kush mountain range, located in Chitral.
According to the Department of Tourism, Sarbaz Khan and Abid Baig, both hailing from Gilgit-Baltistan, reached the summit of Tirich Mir. Five other members of the team were forced to stop at 7,300 meters due to severe weather conditions.
The expedition, named “Tirich Mir Expedition 2025,” was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority and included both national and local climbers.
