Two people died while another was injured in separate road accidents in the Rawalpindi district, police said.
Sajjad Hussain lodged a first information report (FIR) with the Civil Lines police, stating that he received a call informing him that his son, Mohammad Syam had gotten into an accident. He said his son died on the spot and his friend Mohammad Ahmed was seriously injured.
He said the injured was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital where he was stated to be in critical condition.
He said in the FIR that the accident happened due to the negligence and carelessness of the unknown trolley driver.
The second accident happened in Kotli Sattian area where Nasrullah lodged an FIR with the police saying that he and his son Ameenullah were on their motorcycles when his son’s vehicle was hit by a wagon.
“I took my son to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences in a private car, where he was pronounced dead,” Mr Nasrullah said.
