Two Detainees and Immigration Officer Arrested in Karachi Airport Passport Fraud Case
Suspects Had Acquired Fraudulent Passports from Wazirabad; Transferred for Further Legal Action

Two passengers were detained at Karachi Airport while trying to leave the country using counterfeit Canadian passports. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has also arrested an immigration officer, Muhammad Adnan, who was involved in assisting the passengers.
The detained individuals, Muhammad Bashir and Rizwan Khan, were set to board an international flight to Canada. However, during a routine inspection by the Secondary Line Office, their passports were found to be missing key security features, confirming them as fakes.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects had acquired these fraudulent passports for Rs10 million each from an agent named Usman in Wazirabad.
The detainees have been transferred to Karachi’s anti-human trafficking unit for further legal proceedings.
FIA Director General Ahmad Ishaq praised the team for their successful use of advanced equipment in combating human trafficking.
This case comes shortly after a similar incident where three passengers were apprehended at Islamabad Airport for attempting to travel with fraudulent documents.
